Construction Project Manager – New Store Construction

About the role

Join Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Real Estate & Store Development (WWGRD) team as a Construction Project Manager responsible for delivering new store projects from concept through grand opening. You will own schedule, budget, quality and delivery outcomes while working with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project execution from design through opening, managing autonomy and accountability.
• Develop and control project strategies, schedules and budgets to meet financial milestones and hard‑bid targets.
• Oversee design and engineering phases, including evaluations, partner selection, contract negotiations and procurement.
• Coordinate architects, design consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, quality delivery.
• Set measurable targets, monitor metrics, report challenges and drive corrective actions.
• Manage project‑level budgets and spend approvals throughout the lifecycle.
• Partner with design, procurement and operations teams to resolve cross‑functional dependencies.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to define parameters and maintain accountability for cost, quality and schedule.
• Identify and mitigate risks, make trade‑off decisions and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Support negotiations with customers, suppliers and external partners and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience as an architect, engineer, construction manager, development manager, owner’s project management representative, or similar commercial development role.
• Proven ability to manage complex construction projects from design through implementation and operation.
