Construction Project Manager

About the role

STRUCTURAL is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead complex design‑build, self‑performed projects in the NY Metro and Long Island City area. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from pre‑construction planning through delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and long‑term performance of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own communication across internal and external stakeholders, keeping projects aligned and moving forward.
• Run regular team and client meetings to align on goals, timelines, and progress.
• Manage procurement and contracts for subcontractors, vendors, and materials.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, change orders, claims, and disputes.
• Build and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk plans with transparency.
• Ensure top‑tier quality control in collaboration with designers and QC teams.
• Champion a strong safety culture, adhering to OSHA and project‑specific standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field (Master’s, PMP, or DBIA certification a plus).
• 3+ years of experience in commercial or public construction/restoration, preferably with structural concrete, façade repair, waterproofing, or historic restoration.
• Proven track record managing projects up to $10 M.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% or work on out‑of‑town projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Procore.
• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Experience with BIM 360.
• Familiarity with project forecasting tools.
