Construction Manager (Remote) – Indianapolis

About the role

Metronet and Vexus are seeking a Construction Manager to lead assigned fiber‑optic construction projects. This remote position supports customers across the United States while being based in Indianapolis, IN.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts and project requirements to ensure full compliance.
• Create and execute work plans, schedules, and budgets, acquiring necessary resources.
• Assign duties to the project team and manage day‑to‑day operations for on‑time, under‑budget delivery.
• Provide regular progress updates to internal and external customers and manage change requests.
• Interpret technical specifications, communicate requirements to staff, and serve as the project spokesperson.
• Ensure permits, authorizations, and contract compliance are met.
• Review and approve job cost accounting reports and maintain communication with the Director of Construction.
• Represent Metronet professionally to foster repeat business and maintain high attendance and appearance standards.

Required profile

• BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of telecom construction practices.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
