Construction Manager – Mining & Industrial Projects

About the role

JDS Energy & Mining is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead large‑scale construction activities for mining and industrial projects. This site‑based FIFO position covers full‑cycle construction management from planning through project close‑out, ensuring safety, quality and productivity standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction from planning through execution and close‑out.
• Provide leadership and direction to site teams, superintendents, and contractors.
• Manage contractor performance to ensure scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations are met.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and project controls teams.
• Monitor and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with design specifications, project standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement across construction activities.
• Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Uphold and enforce safety and quality standards across site operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction management for mining or industrial projects.
• Ability to lead site teams, superintendents and multiple contractors.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Experience coordinating with engineering, procurement and project controls functions.
• Demonstrated capability to manage schedules, budgets and resources effectively.
