Construction Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Manager to lead the build‑out of new CAVA restaurant locations and production facilities. The role will guide projects from site evaluation through close‑out, partnering with Real Estate, Design, Operations and external vendors to deliver on‑time, on‑budget, and to brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of construction projects, from pre‑lease evaluation to final close‑out.
• Partner with Real Estate and Design to assess site feasibility, draft LOI terms and contribute to cost projections.
• Develop, track and update project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
• Create and maintain project schedules for leadership review and approval.
• Review design documents for constructability, cost and schedule impact and provide feedback.
• Oversee permitting processes in collaboration with expediters, architects and landlords.
• Manage the general contractor bid process, including RFP issuance, bid evaluation, negotiation and internal approvals.
• Negotiate, review and administer contracts with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure procurement of OSI items and manage vendor relationships for project‑specific needs.
• Conduct regular site visits and lead construction progress meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing restaurant or commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong ability to collaborate across Real Estate, Design, Operations and external partners.
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control and financial forecasting.
• Experience creating and managing detailed project schedules.
• Knowledge of permitting requirements and ability to navigate approvals.
• Skilled in contractor selection, bid evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent problem‑solving and issue‑resolution capabilities.
