Construction Manager

About the role

Vopak is looking for a Construction Manager to lead small capital‑expenditure projects at its St. Charles, LA terminal. You will own the budget, field execution, contracting strategy and project control for projects typically up to $1 million, ensuring they move from scope to close‑out safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the site’s Capex plan in collaboration with project managers, engineers and operations teams.
• Plan, schedule and control multiple small‑scale construction projects from front‑end scoping through final close‑out.
• Oversee field execution, contracting strategy and budget compliance for each project.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and enhance service delivery.
• Coordinate change‑management activities and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in project planning and execution.
• 2+ years in an industrial or related environment, preferably with tank, piping, instrumentation or electrical work.
• Self‑starter with strong critical‑thinking and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Proven collaboration and change‑management capabilities.
