Construction Manager

About the role

7th Street Burger is expanding its restaurant footprint across the Northeast and needs a Construction Manager to lead each new build from lease signing to operational turnover. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will act as the execution engine, ensuring projects open on time, on budget, and to brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess candidate sites for structural, MEP, and code compliance during the LOI‑to‑lease phase.
• Prepare construction feasibility reports and advise the Director on go/no‑go decisions.
• Run the general contractor (GC) bid process, including scope packages, RFPs, bid leveling, and reference checks.
• Own all permitting, entitlements, and municipal approvals, coordinating expeditors, architects, and engineers.
• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities, schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Conduct site walks, enforce build standards, and track variance against the approved budget.
• Coordinate FF&E, equipment, signage, and low‑voltage/IT vendors to meet opening timelines.
• Turn over completed sites to Operations, ensuring a smooth handoff.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑site restaurant or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of building codes, permitting processes, and MEP systems.
• Ability to work hands‑on in the field and make fast, data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with landlords, GCs, and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on budget control and schedule adherence.
