Construction Manager

About the role

This role provides leadership for construction execution and capital delivery across a diverse retail portfolio, including new sites, acquisition retrofits, rebuilds, remodels, heavy maintenance and emergency projects. The manager oversees the full project lifecycle from concept through turnover, ensuring safety, schedule performance and cost discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery across multiple sites, coordinating internal advisors, third‑party managers, contractors, architects and engineers.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, including scope alignment, schedule management, metric reporting, punch‑list resolution and financial closeout.
• Steward capital and expense budgets, manage payments, change orders, cost forecasting and ensure compliance with financial controls.
• Align decisions across Real Estate, Design, Operations, IT, Finance, HSSE, Legal and other partners to accelerate approvals and resolve issues.
• Direct emergency capital repairs and major field issues, mobilising resources while protecting safety, quality and schedule.
• Support strategic growth through site surveys, cost estimating, capital planning and due‑diligence for new builds and acquisitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, capital delivery or multi‑site retail development.
• Proven leadership in project execution, contractor management and cross‑functional alignment.
• Deep expertise in construction operations, budget stewardship, schedule management and change control.
