Construction Manager

About the role

The Construction Manager will coordinate construction phase activities and costs for a variety of projects across Mayo Clinic facilities. This role oversees both minor and major construction, renovation, and demolition work while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor construction, renovation, remodeling, maintenance, and demolition projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across one or more locations.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring quality and schedule adherence.
• Conduct estimating, bidding, scheduling, and life‑safety inspections.
• Monitor infection‑control requirements and coordinate internal work groups for relocations and move‑ins.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (preferred).
• Five or more years of combined field and office experience in estimating, scheduling, quality control, and construction management.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to adapt management style to situational needs.
• Willingness to pursue further education in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
