Construction Manager II

About the role

HDR is seeking a Construction Manager II to lead subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control across a variety of federal and commercial projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, develop and maintain project schedules, and oversee quality control.
• Prepare Project Management Plans and Construction Management Plans.
• Administer contract activities, including document control, change management, cost tracking, and safety compliance.
• Develop procurement schedules, subcontract scopes, and conduct constructability and value‑engineering reviews.
• Manage construction estimating, schedule reviews, and performance presentations.
• Oversee bidding processes, purchase orders, and subcontract packages.
• Review and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications.
• Prepare, issue, and negotiate change orders; monitor baseline and updated schedules.
• Control project budget, schedule, and quality assurance/inspection services.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with health and safety programs.

Required profile

• Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
• Proven experience in construction management, contract administration, and project scheduling.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
