Construction Manager – Data Center Design & Build

About the role

Meta is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center projects within its campus program. The role ensures high uptime, capacity availability, and cost‑effective delivery of mission‑critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center facilities.
• Oversee project budgets, cost changes, and negotiate pricing.
• Control schedules, identify risks, and ensure reliable turnover dates.
• Handle warranty and tenant‑improvement work in live environments.
• Communicate project status and risks to senior leadership.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders with vendors and contractors.
• Develop cost‑saving solutions and early underrun identification.
• Partner with general contractors, vendors, and internal cross‑functional teams.
• Support pre‑construction planning, prefabrication strategies, and capital budget development.
• Assist campus construction manager with overall book of work and on‑site inspections to achieve zero punch‑list.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of construction management experience, including multi‑project, large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure.
• Broad knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with capital budget management, contract administration, and negotiation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with P6 scheduling software.
• Experience using Procore, eBuilder, BIM 360, and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with LEAN construction principles.
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, fire protection regulations, and building‑environment accreditations (LEED, SITES, TRUE, WELL).
