Construction Manager – Amazon Logistics Projects

About the role

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is looking for a Construction Manager to act as the owner's representative for new facilities and infrastructure supporting the logistics network. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle, from design review and contractor procurement to execution and operational handover across a variety of sites such as fulfillment centers, sortation centers, delivery stations, and auxiliary buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through construction completion and handover.
• Review contractor bid packages, budgets, and schedules; identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Track budgets, forecast cash flow, and control costs.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance and ensure compliance with Amazon’s specifications.
• Coordinate permitting, regulatory compliance, and approvals with authorities.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, schedule clashes, and coordination gaps.
• Coach and guide developers, design engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Champion Amazon’s safety programs and enforce a safety‑first culture.
• Maintain clear communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong technical construction expertise and commercial acumen.
• Ability to manage several projects independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% regionally and work from a corporate office when not traveling.
• Residency near or willingness to relocate to the office location.
