Construction Laborer – Travel Required

About the role

R.R. Cassidy, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Laborer to support a variety of sub‑surface and pole‑setting projects across the Southeast United States. The role involves frequent travel, on‑site work, and a week‑long training period in Prairieville, LA.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a general project laborer, assisting with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform housekeeping tasks for equipment, tools, and the jobsite.
• Clean up and help the superintendent secure the site at the end of each day.
• Act as a spotter for equipment operators to ensure safe machinery operation.
• Provide general assistance to operators, foremen, leadmen, and superintendents as needed.
• Identify safety concerns proactively and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
• Comply with DOT regulations and CDL reporting requirements when applicable.

Required profile

• Previous experience in construction, civil, or foundation work (preferred).
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel 80‑100% of the time throughout the Southeast US.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive labor.
• Clear communication skills and ability to follow directions from supervisors.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and pass a drug and alcohol test.

Required skills

• Valid Class A, B, or D driver’s license (Class A or B preferred).
• Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate spotter duties safely around heavy machinery.
