Construction Laborer – Entry Level (Westlake, LA)

About the role

The Laborer I is an entry‑level field position responsible for a variety of basic physical labor tasks on marine and civil construction sites in Westlake, LA.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sites, handle and move materials, and perform cleaning duties.
• Assist skilled trades such as carpenters, equipment operators, and welders.
• Use power and manual tools for sawing, nailing, and general construction work.
• Operate motorized equipment and install or remove construction material at heights with fall‑protection measures.
• Perform other job duties as assigned in a safety‑sensitive environment.

Required profile

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of up to 75 lb.
• Regular walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good balance, physical strength and alertness.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails and bolts.
• Operation of motorized equipment.
• Formwork or concrete construction experience (minimum 6 months preferred).
