Construction Inspector

About the role

The Construction Inspector will conduct on‑site observation and documentation for infrastructure projects, ensuring work complies with design documents and regulatory standards. Based in Geneva, NY, the role involves regular travel to field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and document conditions at project sites.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Prepare detailed field reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Conduct inspections of roads, stormwater utilities, water and sanitary sewer installations, and SWPPP compliance.
• Monitor erosion and sediment control measures and ensure proper maintenance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of construction inspection experience, or a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture with 1–3 years of inspection experience.
• Knowledge of roads, stormwater utilities, water and sanitary sewer line installations, and SWPPP inspections.
• Understanding of erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance.
• OSHA 10‑hour certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
