Construction Foreman

About the role
The Foreman supports craft workers on construction sites, ensuring a clean, safe and efficient environment while assisting with a wide range of physical tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Promote and follow all company safety policies and complete required safety documentation.
- Signal equipment operators to align, move and adjust machinery for loading, unloading, pushing and pulling.
- Level earth to fine‑grade specifications using shovels or hand tools.
- Mix concrete or grout with a portable mixer and finish freshly poured concrete using floats, trowels or screeds.
- Position, join and connect pumps, motors and other mechanical parts.
- Apply paints, bituminous compounds, caulking, or other sealants by hand or with a gun.
- Spray water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint or stucco to clean, coat or seal surfaces.
- Grind, sand or polish concrete and steel with abrasive tools.
- Perform hand‑tool tasks such as torqueing bolts, assembling metal parts, sawing lumber, dismantling forms and operating jackhammers.
- Maintain assigned tools and provide general site assistance, including travel to multiple job sites on short notice.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with 6‑12 months of construction experience (or equivalent training).
- Commitment to personal and team safety, adhering to zero‑injury principles.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals and procedure documents.
- Basic arithmetic skills for measurements, weight and volume calculations.
- Understanding of force, pressure and torque units to select appropriate tooling.
Required skills
- Concrete mixing and finishing.
- Operation of hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, trowels, abrasive tools, jackhammers).
- Caulking and sealant application.
- Basic measurement and calculation abilities.
- Reading and applying safety documentation.

- Hourly wage $27.00 – $30.50, based on experience.
