Construction Foreman II

About the role

The Construction Foreman II will support Louisiana Bridge Builders on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and participating in the day‑to‑day onsite activities of the construction crew while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate crew activities, occasionally performing trade work as needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports for the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development and the project developer, including job quantities, timesheets, and daily management reports.
• Oversee daily operations and maintenance, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards and regulations.
• Track equipment and facility performance data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all activities comply with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns or emergencies, mobilizing resources to restore operations safely.
• Assist with contractual compliance, safety and environmental programs, and inventory management of tools and consumables.
• Hire, motivate, train, and evaluate crew members, handling performance reviews, promotions, transfers, and terminations as required.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers, employees, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to lead and develop a high‑performing team through coaching and talent retention.
• Solid understanding of construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
• Proven ability to manage reports, documentation, and daily operational data accurately.
