Construction Foreman II

About the role

The Construction Foreman II will support Louisiana Bridge Builders on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge project in Lake Charles, LA. This onsite position involves planning, organizing, and managing daily field activities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate crew activities, occasionally performing trade work.
• Prepare and submit reports for the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development and the developer.
• Maintain accurate records of job quantities, timesheets, and daily management reports.
• Oversee daily operations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.
• Track equipment performance data, identify issues, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns or emergencies, mobilizing resources and restoring operations safely.
• Assist in contractual compliance and participate in safety and environmental programs.
• Hire, train, motivate, and lead the team, handling performance reviews and personnel actions.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and consumables to prevent interruptions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Effective written and verbal communication with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to adapt to relevant software tools.
• Strong knowledge of company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
