Construction Division General Manager

About the role

The General Manager of the Construction Division will steer the pool construction and service business across Cincinnati and the surrounding tri-state area. Reporting to senior leadership, this executive role combines hands-on site oversight with strategic planning to drive profitability, safety, and client satisfaction for high-end, complex pool projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct all construction activities, including operations, project management, and field execution.
• Own full P&L responsibility, manage budgeting, forecasting and margin-improvement initiatives.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team of project managers, superintendents and field staff.
• Design, implement and continuously improve construction processes, systems and performance metrics.
• Ensure delivery of luxury pool projects on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with ownership and senior executives to formulate and execute growth strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
• Champion a safety-first culture and uphold accountability across all job sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction operations.
• Proven track record of leading a construction division or large business unit with full financial accountability.
• Experience in specialty construction, luxury residential, commercial or similarly complex projects (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as PMP or CCM (preferred).

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Construction Cost Management (CCM) certification.
