Construction Assistant Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Assistant Superintendent supports field leadership on military construction projects throughout San Diego County. Reporting to the Superintendent, the role ensures daily operations run safely, on schedule, and within budget while adhering to project specifications and contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors and supervise on‑site field activities.
• Monitor safety compliance, quality control, and schedule performance.
• Assist in procurement, budgeting, and progress reporting.
• Support the Superintendent in managing project documentation, drawings, and contract requirements.
• Promote company standards, culture, and values on all job sites.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (additional construction management education preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a lead foreman or similar supervisory role.
• At least 3 years practical field or trade experience, preferably on government or military projects.
• Design‑Build background is a plus.
• CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30, EM‑385, and STS certifications required or obtainable through company training.
• LEED Green Associate certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web‑based applications.
• Experience with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM platforms, or Revit (preferred).
