Construction Assistant Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to support day‑to‑day construction operations across all project phases. This full‑time, on‑site position requires frequent travel to customer sites throughout the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, review, and track subcontractor documents, purchase orders, drawings, and submittals.
• Price, approve, or reject change orders and submittals; respond to RFIs.
• Request and verify insurance certificates for subcontractor compliance.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor contact logs and the building‑permit process.
• Serve as liaison with subcontractors to resolve disputes, questions, or performance issues.
• Assist in preparing schedule narratives, weekly progress videos/photos, and subcontractor meeting minutes.
• Prepare purchase order descriptions, track warranty certificates, and help create close‑out manuals.
• Occasionally perform tasks outside the normal scope of duties.

Required profile

• Heavy mechanical experience; HVAC, electrical, or natural‑gas background preferred.
• Education in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Design, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time and work on construction sites up to 10 hours per day.
