Conflicts Analyst

About the role

The Conflicts Analyst joins Jenner & Block's Conflicts Services team to initiate the conflicts process for all new business. This full‑time position supports partners, support staff, and the Conflicts Manager by collecting, reviewing, researching, and analyzing conflicts of interest information.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and review new client and matter requests.
• Research corporate information and family structures using internal databases and external tools.
• Create conflicts reports and summaries of high‑risk hits for Conflicts Attorneys.
• Maintain accurate client and matter data in the firm’s intake and conflicts management systems.
• Assist with a variety of research requests and projects, including audit letters and lateral hires.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in a law‑firm environment; conflicts department experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of professional responsibility rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Professional demeanor with a customer‑service mindset and discretion handling confidential information.

Required skills

• Experience with conflicts software (Intapp).
• Proficiency with research tools such as D&B and CapIQ.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
