Concrete Foreman – El Paso, TX

About the role

PCL is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead crews on a major infrastructure project in El Paso, Texas. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality concrete work while maintaining safety, schedule, and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings; perform field layout and level verification.
• Lead and supervise concrete crews through formwork, placement, finishing, and curing phases.
• Assist with short‑term planning, logistics, and material coordination.
• Monitor labor productivity and adjust work plans to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure proper installation of forms, inserts, anchor bolts, waterstops, and openings.
• Inspect work for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized site.
• Coordinate activities with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades.
• Resolve field issues promptly to keep workflow uninterrupted.
• Secure tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• 8+ years of concrete construction experience, preferably on water, wastewater, or heavy‑infrastructure projects.
• 3+ years in a foreman or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, rebar placement, and finishing techniques.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage field operations.
• Ability to read plans and perform layout with minimal supervision.
• Experience coordinating concrete pours (pumps, trucks, sequencing).
• Understanding of production control, scheduling, and cost management.
• OSHA or comparable safety certifications preferred.
• Good attendance record and reliable references.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb, work outdoors in varied conditions, and operate at heights.
