Concessions Cook - Jones Beach Amphitheater

About the role

A concessions cook is needed at the Northwell Health concession stand at Jones Beach Amphitheater. The role prepares and cooks food items that meet high standards of taste and appearance, satisfying guests and helping to maximize food revenue. The position is advertised by Legends Global, a hospitality and events agency.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all health and sanitation procedures and implement sanitary practices for food handling, kitchen and serving areas.
• Prepare, hold and serve food at the correct temperatures, with proper rotation, labeling and dating of products.
• Use the right utensils and portions, and keep the work area clean, sanitized and organized.
• Keep management informed about food quantities and quality in preparation, on the line and in holding cabinets.
• Coordinate orders so food is cooked on time and accurately, and help restock paper supplies and food items.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as set out in the Employee Training Manual, and follow all health and safety regulations.
• May be assigned to work multiple stations during a shift and assist other positions when needed.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience preparing food in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and listen to co-workers and supervisors, and to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
