Computer Support Technician I – Frontline IT Support

About the role

As a Computer Support Technician I within the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) Information Services, you will provide frontline technical support and endpoint services for statewide users. The role focuses on desktop support, device deployment, troubleshooting, and customer service across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Perform workstation imaging, provisioning, software installation, and hardware replacement.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, VPN, network connectivity, and peripheral issues.
• Provide onsite and remote support using remote support tools for users across multiple locations.
• Utilize ServiceNow for incident management, service requests, asset tracking, and documentation while adhering to SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to higher support tiers and collaborate with infrastructure teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and after‑hours support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with comparable experience.
