Composting & Bulk Materials Operations Supervisor

About the role

Denali is seeking a Composting & Bulk Materials Operations Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day handling, processing and composting of bulk organic material at its Advance, NC facility. The role reports to the Facility Manager and is part of the leadership team responsible for safety, quality and budget performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise equipment operators and ensure safe, efficient operation of wheel loaders, excavators, dozers, grinders, screens and depackaging, coloring and mixing equipment.
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions, coordinate daily equipment housekeeping and support preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
• Implement asset‑management practices to track equipment performance and utilization.
• Oversee composting processes to meet all regulatory requirements, maintaining records of temperatures, product testing, windrow age and other key data.
• Coordinate with the leadership team to prepare product for bagging and bulk sales, supporting production schedules and communicating bulk demand to sales staff.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead a team of equipment operators and work closely with maintenance and sales colleagues.
• Experience in managing bulk organic material flows, composting operations and equipment utilization.
