Compliance Solutions Specialist (Contract)

About the role

The Compliance Solutions Specialist will bridge regulatory requirements and operational data for Satair USA, a part of Airbus. Based in Herndon, Virginia, you will use advanced data tools to ensure strict adherence to U.S. Customs regulations and global trade standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complex HTSUS and ECCN classification for aviation aftermarket parts, moving from manual entry to systematic, logic‑based management.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for 19 CFR and corporate policies, guaranteeing all import/export activities meet legal standards.
• Act as primary liaison with customs brokers and subcontractors, driving accountability and timely clearance.
• Extract and analyze supply‑chain data using SQL and Skywise (Palantir) to identify compliance gaps and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Design and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards that translate customs data into clear narratives for senior leadership.
• Leverage AI/ML models and advanced analytics to automate audits, visualize risks, and streamline the aviation aftermarket supply chain.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, including HTSUS, ECCN, free‑trade agreements, country‑of‑origin rules, EAR and ITAR.
• Experience working with customs brokers and managing trade‑compliance operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn large data sets into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with finance, logistics and external partners.
