Compliance Officer II – Research Security

About the role

The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking a Compliance Officer II to support research security compliance across the system. Reporting to senior leadership, you will monitor and facilitate adherence to federal, state, and system regulations governing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and research security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive CUI compliance program.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and TAMU regulatory standards.
• Identify compliance vulnerabilities and create remediation plans.
• Prepare and deliver compliance reports; serve on relevant committees.
• Coordinate with federal and private sponsors, faculty, and staff on CUI matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in compliance programs or related activities.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship (security‑sensitive position).
