Compliance Attorney / Regulatory Counsel (Remote)

About the role

This remote position seeks an experienced attorney to design realistic regulatory scenarios and evaluate AI‑generated legal responses. You will work across multiple compliance domains, providing benchmark answers that guide model training.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed regulatory scenarios covering AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA, FDA submissions, HIPAA, privacy impact assessments, and related areas.
• Draft attorney‑level reference responses that serve as gold standards for model evaluation.
• Assess and grade model‑generated answers using structured rubrics, delivering written feedback to improve model behavior.
• Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration reviews with the research team.

Required profile

• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school with an active or inactive U.S. law license.
• Significant experience in regulatory or compliance law within a law firm, in‑house department, government agency, or regulatory body.
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following: AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA, healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti‑Kickback), FDA submissions, privacy law (GDPR/CCPA/DPIA), environmental permitting, or export control.
• Exceptional written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
