Complex Health Visiting Professor (Part-Time)

Chamberlain University, a large nursing school with more than 135 years of history in healthcare education, is looking for a part-time Visiting Professor in Complex Health Visiting in Las Vegas. You will inspire nursing students to reach their educational and career goals, with a flexible schedule, strong mentorship and support, and opportunities for career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.
• Plan clinical experiences and supervise and evaluate nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups.
• Provide documented feedback on student performance and offer remediation when needed.
• Keep current on agency and clinical policies and procedures and orient students to them.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments and return homework, quizzes, tests and lab work in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and the College, and may teach didactic content under the course coordinator's supervision.
• Work with administration, staff and other faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction, and take part in assessment, retention and policy initiatives.
• Serve as a professional role model and comply with all regulatory rules and standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• At least 2 years of recent nursing practice as a registered nurse within the last five years.
• Professional Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and prudent judgment.
