Community Tree Manager

About the role
The Community Tree Manager leads Tree Boston’s tree planting and care programs, overseeing both community and private initiatives. This role works closely with staff to deliver urban forestry education, training, and engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute community tree plantings and private tree planting projects.
- Manage tree stewardship activities, including watering, pruning, and overall tree health monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Director of Programs to develop programming and training related to urban forestry.
- Lead and supervise a 3‑4 person Tree Team.
- Engage with community partners to promote tree education and participation.
Required profile
- Proven experience in urban forestry, tree planting, or related environmental programs.
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for community outreach and education.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders.
