Community Supervision Officer (Level 1)

About the role

The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) in Georgia seeks a Community Supervision Officer (Level 1) to join its hybrid workforce in the Coweta Circuit, based in Carrollton. This position blends virtual and in‑person duties while supporting individuals on parole and probation, promoting public safety, and fostering successful community reintegration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload by creating and monitoring individualized case plans.
• Conduct community surveillance and enforce parole/probation conditions.
• Investigate violations, prepare reports, and make referrals to community resources.
• Maintain accurate case files, including background checks, DNA testing, drug testing, and fingerprinting.
• Wear the department‑issued uniform, badge, and firearm while performing duties.

Required profile

• Willingness to wear a uniform, badge, and department‑provided firearm.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid (virtual and on‑site) environment.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practices and collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Strong judgment, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
