Community Outreach Coordinator (Non-profit)

About the role

The Cancer Support Community in the Valley, Ventura, and Santa Barbara regions is seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Coordinator to expand awareness of its free supportive‑care programs for cancer patients, survivors, and families.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain relationships with oncology professionals, hospitals, mental‑health providers, and community organizations across the service area.
• Conduct targeted email outreach, in‑person visits, and phone calls to promote programs and distribute marketing materials.
• Identify and engage key stakeholders such as houses of worship, schools, and youth groups to disseminate information.
• Present at health fairs, senior events, and service club meetings, coordinating volunteers for table displays.
• Document outreach activities, including mileage reports, and manage inventory of brochures and flyers.
• Enter outreach data into the organization’s CRM system and assist with program‑focused social‑media content.
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and collaborate with the Speakers Bureau and administrative team.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
• Excellent critical‑thinking and communication abilities.

Required skills

• CRM system usage for data entry and tracking.
