Community Manager – Student Living (Des Moines, IA)

About the role

The Community Manager for Student Living will oversee daily operations of an assigned multifamily property in Des Moines, IA. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures financial performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance with housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site staff, daily activities, and resources to meet budgeted financial and operational goals.
• Develop and input property budgets by analyzing financial statements, marketing data, and operational reports.
• Set rent levels and implement revenue‑generation strategies to achieve targeted income.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable laws.
• Maintain high standards of resident service and community engagement.

Required profile

• Experience in property or community management, preferably within student housing.
• Strong understanding of multifamily financials and budgeting.
• Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and compliance requirements.
