Community Manager (Lease Up) – Active Adult Community

About the role

The Community Manager leads daily operations of an Active Adult community, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, strong financial performance, and full regulatory compliance. This position serves as the primary liaison between ownership, residents, and the onsite team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident concerns, complaints, questions, and requests, resolving issues with empathy.
• Handle escalated resident disputes and manage lease enforcement, including inspections, notices, evictions, and collection of fees.
• Prepare and submit accounting, financial, administrative, and operational reports accurately and on time.
• Act as liaison with ownership, investors, and regional/asset management teams, leading site visits and providing performance updates.
• Develop recommendations for asset preservation, revenue growth, and expense control.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development of onsite staff.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and all applicable housing regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Active Adult (55+) communities.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve resident issues and handle disputes.
• Experience with financial and administrative reporting.
• Leadership skills to manage and develop onsite teams.
