Community Manager - Charleston

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of an assigned multifamily property in Charleston. The role combines financial oversight, resident relations, and compliance responsibilities to ensure the property meets budgetary and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the property budget by reviewing financial statements, marketing data, and operational reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits, and prepare monthly financial status reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Manage petty cash, control expenditures, and stay within approved budget limits.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, lease renewals, rent discounts, inspections, notices, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to develop short‑ and long‑term leasing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.
• Promote resident satisfaction and retention through responsive service and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in property or community management within multifamily housing.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data, manage budgets, and produce accurate reports.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
