Community Assistant – Union Tempe Student Living

About the role

The Community Assistant supports Greystar's property management team at the Union Tempe student‑living community. The role focuses on administrative, leasing, and customer‑service tasks that help achieve occupancy and resident‑retention goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office administration such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling calls, and organizing rent payments.
• Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, give property tours, and show apartments.
• Generate lease paperwork, organize lease files, and support the move‑in/move‑out process, including mandatory “turn” dates.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments, and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute newsletters, flyers, surveys, and manage birthday cards and other community programs.
• Serve as an after‑hours liaison, responding to emergencies and covering at least one on‑call shift per week.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and on‑call shifts.
• Detail‑oriented with good organizational skills.
• Willingness to handle move‑in and move‑out dates as mandatory work days.
