Community Assistant – Union Chapel Hill Student Living

About the role
The Community Assistant supports Greystar’s property management team at Union Chapel Hill, a student‑living community. This entry‑level position helps achieve occupancy and resident satisfaction goals through administrative, leasing, and customer‑service tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Perform office administration such as copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling calls and organizing rent payments.
- Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, give property tours and show apartments.
- Generate lease paperwork, maintain lease files and support move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory “turn” dates.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
- Coordinate resident events, distribute newsletters, flyers and surveys, and manage birthday cards and unit visits.
- Serve as after‑hours liaison, respond to emergencies promptly and cover at least one on‑call shift per week.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, move‑in/out dates and on‑call shifts.
- Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
