Communications Specialist II

About the role

The Center for Teaching Excellence at Texas A&M University seeks a creative and detail‑oriented Communications Specialist II to advance teaching excellence through strategic communication, digital engagement, and program coordination. This in‑person role supports faculty development programs and raises the visibility of the Center’s services across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and produce a variety of communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, invitations, reports, presentations, scripts, and promotional content.
• Draft and coordinate news releases and internal communications in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Design graphic materials that comply with Texas A&M brand standards and manage digital asset libraries.
• Create and maintain templates for email campaigns, social media posts, and web communications to ensure consistency.
• Produce multimedia content, including photography and video, and use analytics to assess communication effectiveness.
• Coordinate programs, events, outreach initiatives, and communication campaigns with faculty, staff, student employees, and campus partners.
