Commercial/Transactional Lawyer (Part‑time, Remote)

About the role

Brain Co. is building an AI‑powered legal work surface for a global investment organization. We are looking for an experienced commercial or transactional lawyer to join us part‑time as a domain expert, helping shape product design and AI evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Walk product and engineering teams through real legal workflows, from intake to post‑close follow‑up.
• Answer nuanced legal and product questions on contracts, risk assessment, negotiation strategy, and legal operations.
• Review product concepts and workflows, challenging assumptions and highlighting legally material issues.
• Evaluate AI‑generated outputs, develop evaluation criteria, and create benchmark examples.
• Produce high‑quality ground‑truth data for model training and evaluation.

Required profile

• Experienced commercial or transactional lawyer with a strong track record in contract drafting and review.
• Ability to commit 5–10 hours per week for an initial 3–4‑month period, with flexibility to work alongside existing practice.
• Comfortable collaborating with product managers and engineers in a fast‑moving AI environment.
