Commercial Specialist – Policy Department

About the role

Independence Title, a subsidiary of Anywhere Integrated Services, is looking for a Commercial Specialist to join its Policy Department in Austin, TX. The role focuses on preparing and finalising commercial title insurance policies for complex real‑estate transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and finalise commercial title insurance policies, including post‑closing endorsements, in line with commitments and closing instructions.
• Review title documents such as commitments, proformas, and closing packages for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with underwriter guidelines.
• Verify legal descriptions, vesting, and transaction details, incorporating required endorsements, exceptions, and conditions.
• Collaborate with escrow officers, examiners, and underwriters to resolve discrepancies and support post‑closing corrections.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining organised files and meeting production deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of commercial title experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Professional demeanor with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to quickly learn new software platforms.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of title commitments, proformas, policy forms, endorsements, and commercial transactions.
• Familiarity with title software such as RamQuest (preferred).
