About the role
The College is seeking a qualified Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Instructor to join its Workforce Training department on a nine‑month faculty appointment. You will guide students through the process of becoming licensed commercial drivers while supporting the college’s mission of delivering high‑quality technical education.
Key responsibilities
- Train and evaluate student drivers to achieve CDL licensure.
- Maintain flexible teaching hours to meet student driving schedules.
- Travel to multiple campuses and external CDL testing sites as needed.
- Conduct all scheduled classes, hold regular office hours, and engage students in active learning.
- Maintain course rosters and manage records in Workday.
- Participate in division and institutional meetings.
Required profile
- Current CDL certification (endorsements preferred).
- Experience teaching driver‑training courses.
- At least five years of professional driving experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel between campuses.
Required skills
- CDL certification.
