Commercial Driver – Loading/Unloading & Catering Support

About the role

The Driver will be responsible for safely loading and unloading trailers, transporting products to customers, and supporting catering operations across various locations. This position requires adherence to commercial driving regulations, thorough vehicle inspections, and coordination with the culinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect trucks for defects before, during, and after trips and submit written reports.
• Verify shipping papers for accuracy and determine load nature.
• Comply with Texas and FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Perform minor vehicle repairs (replace safety lights, repair electrical connections, small engine maintenance).
• Report accidents, incidents, highway hazards, and any delays caused by breakdowns, weather, or traffic.
• Maintain required records such as duty status, mileage, and compliance documentation.
• Maneuver and handle tractor‑trailers up to 53 feet.
• Support catering operations by transporting food items, setting up and breaking down kitchen areas, and stocking supplies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Driving record in good standing with no major violations.
• Knowledge of vehicle safety systems and DOT regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
• Capability to perform light to heavy lifting and meet job deadlines.
• Positive attitude, safety‑oriented, and detail‑focused.
