Commercial Construction Superintendent – Texas

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead multiple commercial construction projects across San Antonio, South Austin, and Corpus Christi. The role involves overseeing renovations, new builds, and site development from pre‑construction through close‑out while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day field operations for several commercial projects simultaneously.
• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel, coordinating logistics, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and adjust plans to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Facilitate daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues quickly.
• Oversee quality‑control processes, punch‑list completion, final inspections, and turnover.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent or similar field‑leadership role.
• Proven track record managing commercial renovations, tenant improvements, restaurants, offices, manufacturing or entertainment facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction scheduling software and project‑management tools.
• OSHA certification (preferred).
