About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a College Services Coordinator to support student‑affairs operations across its technical colleges. This full‑time position works within the Student Affairs, College Services initiative, handling critical registrar functions and collaborating with multiple campuses.
Key responsibilities
- Review degree‑seeking students for HOPE scholarship eligibility according to institutional policies.
- Manage the student withdrawal process in the Banner system, ensuring accurate data entry and validation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve errors in the CHECS/TCHECS systems on behalf of colleges.
- Provide responsive customer service through electronic communication and other channels.
- Partner with colleges to design or modify forms and data collection tools.
- Assist technical colleges in developing data standards, compliance policies, and procedural documentation.
- Support additional student‑affairs initiatives such as veteran affairs, financial aid, admissions, and risk reviews.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus at least two years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical‑thinking abilities to assess complex processes and ensure compliance.
- Ability to collaborate with a statewide higher‑education community and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Banner student module for registrar functions.
- Experience conducting HOPE scholarship evaluations.
- Hands‑on experience with CHECS and TCHECS error management.
- Knowledge of processing student withdrawals in Banner.
