Coating Operator – Weekend Shift

About the role

3M is hiring Coating Operators for weekend day or night shifts at its Rockland, MA plant. The role involves operating and monitoring a coating line to produce high‑quality material.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure efficient setup and production of quality material on the assigned coating line.
• Coordinate job changeovers and monitor the master control panel.
• Accurately record and enter production data, including test results, using designated software.
• Lead and coordinate production runs to meet targets based on job specifications.
• Maintain a safe working environment and housekeeping at machine areas.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Minimum one year of plant or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military setting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Web handling and alignment.
• Coat weight and tension control.
• Operation of NDC scanners.
• Web drying settings management.
• Master control panel operation.
• Production data entry using PMCS/OPRA software.
• Safety controls and procedures.
