Coalitions Director

About the role

Americans for Prosperity – Louisiana is seeking a passionate advocate for liberty to lead its coalition-building efforts across the state. This full‑time, field‑based position will expand outreach, engage activists, and connect diverse groups to shared policy goals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate new relationships with community groups, NGOs, and grassroots leaders to broaden the organization’s network.
• Plan, organize, and execute events that mobilize activists around state and federal public‑policy initiatives.
• Collaborate with the state leadership team to build and maintain relationships with elected officials at local and state levels.
• Speak to audiences of varying sizes, inspiring informed civic participation and advocacy for policy reform.

Required profile

• Strong belief in bottom‑up, people‑empowering public‑policy solutions.
• Proven experience building diverse coalitions around a common vision.
• Excellent people skills, humility, and the ability to find common ground.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time and hold a valid driver’s license.
