CNC Programmer / Machinist – Titanium Medical Devices

About the role

Enovis is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer / Machinist to produce titanium components for additive‑manufactured medical devices. The role supports rapid prototyping, process development and low‑volume production in a regulated environment, ensuring timely delivery of parts for patients and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Machine titanium parts produced by additive manufacturing into finished medical‑device components.
• Develop and optimise CNC programs using CAM software for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
• Set up and operate 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC mills and CNC lathes for prototype and short‑run production.
• Perform precision finishing operations such as milling, drilling, tapping and surface finishing.
• Collaborate with R&D and design engineers to refine prototypes and improve design‑for‑manufacturing.
• Create custom work‑holding and fixturing for irregular additive geometries.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, CMMs and optical inspection systems.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 quality systems.
• Optimise cutting strategies, tooling, feeds and speeds for titanium machining.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a prototype machinist with CNC programming background.
• Hands‑on experience machining titanium and working with additively manufactured parts.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated medical‑device environment.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to manage inventory and production schedules.
