CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift

About the role

The CNC Machinist joins Sandvik Coromant’s manufacturing team in Westminster, SC, working the 2nd shift. You will set up, program, and operate a variety of CNC grinding equipment to produce high‑precision cutting tools, following blueprints and engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Enter quality, SPC, production, and other data into company information systems.
• Perform routine and primary maintenance on assigned CNC grinders and assist with major repairs.
• Develop, edit, and optimise CNC programs for grinding equipment.
• Operate centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, cut‑off machines, CNC tool grinders, and measuring instruments.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Meet cycle‑time, productivity, and machine‑utilisation targets.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience working with CNC machines in a mechanical or process environment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Understanding of workflow impact on production.
• Current authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Required skills
