CMM Programmer – 2nd Shift (Onsite, Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer for the 2nd shift at its Buffalo, NY facility. You will develop and execute advanced inspection programs for aerospace and defense components, ensuring precision and quality across manufacturing and quality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare electronic code and detailed inspection instructions for numerically controlled (N/C) inspection equipment.
• Develop CMM programs both directly on the machine (learn programming) and offline using computer‑aided inspection (CAI) stations.
• Ensure engineering drawings, design data, and fabrication methods are compatible with CMM capabilities.
• Provide training to machinists, quality auditors, and technicians on CMM operation.
• Resolve compatibility issues between CAI systems and CAD‑generated design data.
• Assist manufacturing engineers in solving measurement system and production problems.
• Create solid models using CAD systems when required.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing inspection experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on CMM inspection/programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and geometric/traditional tolerancing.
• Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing, fabrication, and measurement processes.
